In 2016, Pitchfork Paris welcomed a little brother: Pitchfork Avant-Garde. Festival-goers are invited to spend two evenings wandering between the 11th and 12th arrondissements of Paris, moving from room to room revelling in the talent of the artists of tomorrow. Pitchfork Avant-Garde has played host to Yellow Days, Loyle Carner, Alex Cameron, Requin Chagrin, Slowthai, Alex G, Nick Hakim, jpegmafia and Black Midi, amongst others.

In mid-November 2021, Pitchfork Paris will come back with a new five-day format, with concerts in key Parisian venues such as the Bataclan and the Gaité Lyrique over three days, and the two-day Pitchfork Avant-Garde circuit. The Bataclan and the Gaité Lyrique will open their stages to a host of already established artists, while Pitchfork Avant-Garde will continue shining a spotlight on new talent. The festival is a genuine laboratory of discovery and a meeting place for fans of rock, pop, jazz, electro and R&B! In total, more than 50 artists will perform at Pitchfork Music Festival Paris 2021.
